Kathryn Knuttila is a 21 year-old Minnesota native. She has always loved music and has been a student of the piano for 15 years. She received tremendous inspiration from her piano instructor, family and friends that served to encourage her to use her musical gifts for the good of others. Whether it was a benefit concert, community theatre or creating summer performance classes, the focus of her service has always been music and the arts. In 2006, Kathryn was nominated as an inspiring person in her community and featured on a local cable television show. The premise of the show sparked the idea for the creation of Inspiring America. Kathryn wanted to promote a grass-roots movement of inspiration that could uplift all Americans and encourage them to find their own ways to serve others. This in turn can be a source of inspiration to others.

Inspiring America is a humble effort to focus on the good in America. It is publicly telling the uplifting stories of quiet heroes among our neighbors and friends. It is a fresh way to lift up and celebrate those who touch our lives with inspiration and hope. Inspiring America is also a call to re-invigorate our core values and our civic pride as a people by spotlighting and celebrating those countless people who emulate and activate what’s best in America. Together, let us celebrate those who make a positive difference in our lives!

“Our greatest fear is to feel inadequate, to feel we have made no mark on this world. If we live with intention and the purpose to serve others, we can let go of those fears where our talents and the needs of the world cross, there lies our vocation and our purpose.”
